Jon became seriously interested in photography whilst working for British Aerospace as an aircraft fitter. In 2002 he graduated from the university of Brighton's editorial photography degree. The images on this website come from two recently completed projects. Along with work from two projects that Jon is currently working on.
Picture for my father. This series was Jon's first major body of work and is dedicated to his father. It was started in 2001 as his final major project and was continued since his graduation. It looks at the often-overlooked landscape of British Industry. This work has been featured in group and solo exhibition in both London and Brighton. During 2004 this work was exhibited at Photofusion in London, which was the first time this work has been seen in its entirety.
On his graduation Creative Review featured an image from this project on the cover of their student round up edition (August 2002). Images from this series have been featured in several other magazines.
Messages From Home. Was competed in 2007 it takes a last look at the house Jon grew up in before Building work changes it for ever.

Jon teaches photography, he has also given guest lectures and gallery talks. As well as having work from an earlier project shown at the Centre d'art I Disseny in Barcelona, during their annual arts festival. All images featured on this website are available as limited edition prints. Jon is also available for commission-based work.
